Neck:Custom, hand-crafted three(3) piece Mahogany with customer choice of Purple Heart or Ebony Center.

Body: Authentic Brazilian Rosewood, Circa 1973 (JK Lado original stock).

Top: Hand selected 500+ year old British Columbian Spruce of master quality.

Inlay: Mother of pearl.

Body Inlay: Hand crafted JK Lado signature wood rosette and insert binding.

Fingerboard: Imported African Ebony (5A-Q)

Bridge & Headstock Plate: Brazilian Rosewood (JK Lado original stock)

 

Note: A deposit of $2,000.00 CAD is required to begin construction. The remaining balance is due prior to shipping of guitar. The Lado Signature Acoustic requires four (4) - six (6) months for crafting and delivery.


Retail per piece is $4,995.00 CDN with included hard case and certificate of authenticity, signed by Joe Kovacic.

Note From Joe K.

The year was 1960 and I had just enrolled in lutherie school in my home country of Croatia. During my studies, the first instrument I completed was an acoustic guitar.

Since moving to Canada in 1973, I completed 35 acoustic models over the next three years.In 1976 due to client demand, I made the switch to produce electric guitars and basses.

Since that day, I have longed to return to the production of quality acoustic guitars. Now that I am semi-retired I will again focus on my original signature design. Utilizing my stock of Brazilian Rosewood I have had since 1974, these guitars are built with very rare highly coveted materials.  Since I have had this wood in stock for over 36 years now, it MUST be dry. (Just a joke!)

Retail for my acoustic masterpiece is $4995.00 CDN with a hard case, which is roughly $3,000.00CDN. less than our competitors.

Production is limited to 5-6 model per year -in addition to 24 electrics.

For the past 48 years, building guitars has been the love of my life. Now, it is time to slow down and enjoy life with my beloved family.

I will however, be building guitars until the day I die.

Ordering Policy

Lado guarantees delivery of all custom guitars within 4-5 months of initial order, or we deduct 10% off total order. In 40 years, JK Lado has never been late!

Special order products require a 50% deposit to begin construction with remaining balance due prior to shipping.

Models currently in stock will ship immediately after receiving payment.

Payment Policy: JK Lado requires PayPal or bank transfer. Credit cards are not accepted.

Shipping: Rates will be quoted on a per-order basis once receiving "ship-to" postal code. U.S & Canada  ships UPS Ground. Europe, Asia, S. America, and Australia ships - FedEX Air.
